You may tell Sunny that the 'puppy' is now proudly hanging on the side of my filing cabinet, where everyone who walks by my cubicle will see it. Even Allbright deigned to say how nice and colourful it was, and much higher praise doesn't come than that, I tell you. Give her a big hug and a kiss for me.
You almost fell over? I couldn't really believe I'd actually kissed you. Although I might've still done, even if I hadn't been plastered, because....well. Midnight on New Year's, and all. It's tradition. And you, with your freckles and your rakish grin and big blue eyes and mussed-up hair... it's a very compelling package, all in all.
And believe me when I say I know the feeling, about the couch. My hair blushed when I walked by it on my way out, this morning. But in very a good way, I assure you.
I'll write Tom about Ellie when I get home. Or you can, if you like. And I'm glad you like dogs, since you'll be the one walking her when I'm gone during the day until Sunny's old enough, I'm sure.
Have utterly no idea when I'll be home; word's just gone out we might need to go up to Manchester to take care of a few things, in which case your guess is as good as mine. I'll wake you when I come in, if it's late.
