Tonks suddenly sat straight up in bed, chest heaving and cheeks flushed.

She took a moment to collect herself, and realized it had just been a dream...which was a profoundly disappointing realization. Flopping back down onto the bed, she stared at the ceiling for a few minutes, going over the finer points in her head.

Then Tonks hastily scrambled out of bed and retrieved a stack of case files from her satchel.

Nothing like writing a few very dry reports in the middle of the night to take your mind off things.
