Oct. 2nd, 2004 06:10 pmTonks pulls her jumper on over her head, wincing as the still-sore muscles scream in protest. She taps her head with her wand, and her damp hair immediately dries. The bath itself did wonders; today is the first day she's been allowed up out of the bed, and it had been heaven to soak her aching limbs in the steaming water.
She moves slowly back into the bedroom, slipping her feet into the shoes Door retrieved from the House of Arch. Glancing over at the armchair Crowley's been frequenting, she spies his copy of Frost lying face down on the cushion.
Crowley's been quiet, the past few days. Oddly so.
But maybe, Tonks reasons, marking his page and setting the book on the nightstand, he's just tired. He's been here more often than anyone, keeping watch over her in the dark of night.
She never dreamed a demon would mean safety. The thought makes her smile.
And yet...she worries.
