Mar. 1st, 2005 09:59 amProfessor Dumbledore,
Blaise Zabini spoke with me last night at Milliways. I'm not quite sure how to tell you this, but...he's been murdered. I took a team to the Zabini home this morning, and found Blaise's body exactly where he said it would be. We've brought his father in for questioning; Blaise informed me that his father was responsible for his death, and the evidence points that way, as well.
Blaise mentioned that he kept something very important in his school trunk, and hoped that he might be able to get his hands on it again. Could you possibly owl it to Milliways?
If you have any other advice for me, Professor, please -- I'm feeling at a bit of a loss. We failed to protect him in life, but I'm sure as hell going to try and make sure that his father gets put away for this. Small consolation at this point, though, isn't it.
Tonks

Date: 2005-03-02 01:56 am (UTC)It is with much sadness that I read your letter. The loss of a student is a difficult and upsetting occurrence, and when the loss is due to violence, it is even more so. I had worried about Mr. Zabini when Professor Snape reported him missing.
I am glad to know the Aurors are on this case. If there is anything I can contribute to be of assistance, please do not hesitate to ask.
As for Mr. Zabini's trunk, it would be prudent to let his mother collect it as soon as possible. Therefor, I have sent it with your owl - it will require an Expansion charm to resize it. Please allow Mr. Zabini to retrieve that which he most needs and send the trunk back as soon as possible. I'm sure you'll understand the reasons why - whilst I am well aware of Milliways, our world as a whole is not.
Yours respectfully,
Albus Dumbledore
