I know. It's just a bit of a big deal, you know? Hosting an Order meeting.

Well.

*He walks over and takes her hand.*

No safer place in the universe. It'll be fine.

From:

Yeah, it will.

*she squeezes his hand and kisses him on the cheek*

Sunny settled all right? I know she's not really ready to sleep, but she seems happy enough to play with Jemma in her crib for the time being.

She's perfectly happy to tell her a very complex story about angels and demons and large Jesuspuppies and turtles.

*He grins*

*Dumbledore finds that Milliways has changed and yet stayed the same. He finds his way to the Staff Quarters with ease and knocks on the door*

*Jumping slightly again, Tonks walks over to the front door and opens it. She smiles at the Headmaster.*

Hallo, Professor. It's good to see you. Please, come in.

*He walks through the door, smiling.*

My dear Nymphadora, how good it is to see you in your new home. I must remind you, however, that it's been quite some time since you were at school. I do have a first name, and you are old enough to use it.

*He nods at Bernard.*

*She beams, and takes his cloak, hanging it on the coat tree near the door.*

Prof--I mean, Albus, this is Bernard Wrangle. Bernard, Albus Dumbledore, Headmaster at Hogwarts.

From:

*Bernard smiles and sticks out a hand to shake, every inch the Head Barman at the end of the universe.*

Albus. Good to meet you.

*Albus recognizes this. His eyes twinkle from behind his half-moon spectacle as he shakes Bernard's hand.*

A pleasure, Bernard. I understand you're Head Barman here at Milliways. The place has changed somewhat since my youth, but much of it has stayed the same.

The Head Barman then was much like you, in manner and bearing.

Oh?

*He grins and folds his arm, eyes twinkling back at Dumbledore.*

Anyone I'd know? We get all kinds here, you know.

He was a chap called Arthur. Quite the fellow. He told the most wonderful stories.

*He strolls into the room, looking about him, and then chooses a comfortable chair to sit in.*

Oh, by the way - congratulations to the two of you.

*He glances at Tonks' left hand and grins.*

*Tonks blushes to the roots of her pink hair and grins, glancing over at Bernard.*

Thanks. We're pretty pleased.

There is a polite scratching on the door. Minerva felt it would be wiser to travel through the bar as a cat, for it would attract less attention.

From:

*She crosses the room and opens the door, looking down at the tabby cat.*

Evening, Professor. Come on in.

From:

The cat trots in primly and leaps upon a chair before transforming into Professor McGonagall, dressed again in white cloak and green robes.

"Good evening, Tonks, Albus. I take it the other gentleman is the famous Bernard?"

From:

*He steps forward, only slightly unnerved by her transformation.*

I am. And I take it you're the infamous Minerva McGonagall?

From:

She bristles slightly. "If that's what you've heard, I fear for those who provided you with that information. One never knows what could happen to them." A small cat-like smile.

From:

*He grins mischievously, pointedly not glancing over at Tonks.*

I never reveal my sources.

From:

"A wise policy, if dangerous to you. Tell me, when were you planning to make an honest woman of Tonks?"

From:

*Tonks looks over at Bernard, grinning, and then holds up her left hand for the professor to see.
