Sep. 21st, 2005 09:46 pmTo Whom It May Concern,
This letter should put to rest the libellous rumours that Ms. Smythe-Smith saw fit to publish about us in the Sunday Edition of The Daily Prophet. As the enclosed certificate shows, we were married on August 6th of this year. The location and details of said marriage are our business.
As per Section 22, paragraph 6 of the International Confederation of Warlocks' Statute of Secrecy, Ms. Tonks has 90 days in which to register a Muggle spouse with the Ministry, and we have begun that process. Thus, we are not in violation of the Statute.
Further such insinuations on the topic of our relationship, or the fitness of Ms. Tonks to do her job, will result in contact from one of our representatives. We sincerely hope the matter does not advance to that stage.
Cordially,
Nymphadora Tonks and Bernard Wrangle
