Violent violet and bubblegum pink

She beams back, pleased, and kisses his cheek before he pulls back.

Then she sticks out a cracker for him to pull.

A floppy pink hat with a feather in it comes out. He sets it on her head jauntily.

"Oooooohh. I like it," 'Dora says approvingly, tugging lightly on the feather. "I think it really sets off my jammies."

"Pwetty!" Sunny admires.

"Always," Bernard confirms with a smile, and holds his cracker out.

'Dora gives it a tug, laughing already, and a rather lovely bouquet of Biting Geraniums bursts out.

Don't worry. They just nibble a little.

Bernard hands them to Sunny.

About time she had a taste of her own medicine.

Sunny eyes them. Warily.

And goes :O! when she's nibbled on.

'Dora shrieks with laughter, because their daughter is so damned cute. "Sweetheart, just don't swallow anything, okay?"

And now it's not, as she spits it out.

The witch facepalms, though she's still laughing, and waves her wand to clean up the mess. "Unless it's in a salad, not a good idea to eat plants."

"No eat," she says obediently.

"Just gnaw."

"Good girl." She kisses her again. "Now, would you like to open your presents?"

Bernard stands and finds one smallish, rectangular, brightly-wrapped gift. He hands it to his daughter almost shyly.

"...Now, don't take this the wrong way. But we thought you needed another."

Inside is a doll, a prettily-dressed, blonde, cherubic doll. She's just a little bigger than Jemma.

She has no name, as yet.

"Need a mummy?"

'Dora and Bernard exchange hopeful looks over her head.

"Think she just might, Sunshine."

Sunny carefully picks her up and pats her back.

"Sunny make good mummy."

Bernard grins, a little, and presses a kiss to the crown of her head.
