Everyone's been cleaned up, and is safe and snug in warm pajamas, settled down in the big bed.

Nymphadora's horribly tired, but too euphoric and too busy grinning like an idiot to sleep.

And Bernard's got his arm around her, and is curled around them both like he'll never, ever leave their sides.

And he's not likely to, any time soon.

Because, holy shit.

Anthony's got his finger in an iron grip, and seems interested in maybe devouring it, and it's so cool.

Bernard laughs. "Look at him."

"So pretty," she says softly, taking in the perfect tiny hands and perfect rosebud mouth. "So pretty and so much ours."

He laughs as Anthony yawns a little.

"Yeah, I bet you're tired, you little monkey." He runs a finger along Anthony's cheek gently. "You were a whole lot of trouble getting here."

A hesitant knock on the bedroom door. "Anyone home? Anyone home?"

"Oh, Dude, just go on in, Doctor Tam said it was all right..." And Kathleen peeks her tiny, spiky head around the door, beaming, her eyes red.

"Well? You gonna let us meet our grandson, or aren't you?"

Bernard laughs and calls, "Come in, you old bag, and shut the door behind you."

She tiptoes in, dragging her stethoscope behind her.

And stands at the door, uncertainly.

Her mother beams.

"Now, there's the face I've been wanting to see. C'mere, lovely. Jump up."

She's a little wary as she comes over.

"Baby?"

Remembering how she felt after giving birth to 'Dora, Andromeda rather suspects her daughter would appreciate not being crowded, right this second.

So it's only after Dude and Kathleen (both grinning fit to burst) have made their way back out into the living room, that aforementioned daughter might catch sight of a stylishly coiffed blonde head poking around the doorframe.

'Dora looks up at the sound, and when she sees who it is, starts to well up.

Because if there's one person who knows how she feels right now, it's Andromeda.

She's still grinning, though.

And dad, too, waving from behind her mother's back.

No mention will be made of the slight redness of his eyes.

It's probably allergies. Baby allergies.

*Says Raph, who does not enter the room.*

Automatically, "Who's there?"

A slight pause.

"If you say 'orange,' Raph, I'll have your hide."

*There's a pause. Maybe it's because he actually was going to say orange. But let's be honest here...it's far more likely that he has no idea what she's talking about right off the bat, and is now confused.*

Uh...I brought MilkyTea.

*An arm juts through the doorframe.*

Dream is grinning.

It isn't exactly "like an idiot", but he is grinning, and when it is his time to meet the baby he speaks to both the mother and the child,

"Welcome, Anthony. Congratulations, Tonks, Bernard."

And she beams right back, just a little too tired to be at all nervous that Dream's in her bedroom.

...Er. In the physical sense.

"Thanks, Morpheus." A laugh. "Thanks to you I felt like I already knew him, when he got here."

Tom's had a moment to freshen up from a night in an arm chair with lots and lots of scotch as the family visited the new baby. Now it's his turn.

He knocks as he opens the door. "Can you stand another visitor?"

He walks in, arms laden with a huge bouquet of flowers and something that looks very much like a cigar box.

"Tom!" There is much beaming. "Come in. Sit."

Much like the elder brother, Desire decides to pop in and visit the newest addition to the Barman's family -- mostly because Bernard is one of Desire's, and this Endless is near terminally curious.

Desire actually comes in the polite way by the door -- seeing as how Dora could be sleeping. "Bernard, I hear congratulations are in order?"

Bernard jumps a little.

He's stretched out on the bed, his back against the headboard, his wife curled around his hip, and his son in his arms.

"Hey," he whispers. "Figured you might stop by."

Aziraphael has been waiting, and making tea, and waiting, and watching various other people making their various ways to the bedroom, and waiting some more.

There might, just possibly, be a touch of nerves.

So it's when 'most everyone else is ensconced happily in the living room, or making the most of the bar, that there's eventually a light tap at the door.

The response is a little tired, but happy just the same. "Come in."

After a while, the sounds of a muffled argument drift in from the corridor, to the general tune of "No - wait, wait - what if he doesn't - " followed by "Oh, for goodness' sake, Crowley, he's about four hours old..."

Suddenly, the door swings partway open, and with a not-so-muffled oof, Crowley staggers in, almost as though pushed.

"    ," he says, freezing.

The appropriate term is 'deer in headlights'.

Bernard's crosslegged on the bed, with a suspicious package small bundle in his lap.

He looks up, as does Nymphadora, and grins like a goddamn outlaw.

"Well. Look who decided to show up."
