"Last load," she announces, plunking the laundry basket down on the living room floor, "and Sunny's having juice and a snack in her Office, today, because she asked very nicely, and Anthony's asleep, finally."

Pausing, Nymphadora considers this carefully. "...Pretty good, considering," she says finally. "I mean, not exactly ready to go jump hurdles, but I feel a thousand percent better every week that goes by."

He smiles against her skin, a thumb stroking her waist through her jumper.

"Good. I mean, it seemed like that, to me, but. It's good to hear."

The witch curls against the Barman even more closely, more hugging him that holding him, now.

"So yeah. Guess we can just take it a bit at a time, and see how we go?"

"'Kay," Bernard replies, settling against her more comfortably, his limbs just slightly leaden.

His eyes slip closed for a second.

This is somewhat unbelievable.

There's a long, long pause.

"So, um. Is now not a good time for you, then?"

It's said with polite interest. She could be talking about a lunch date, for all we know.

His eyes are no longer closed.

"Whut."

Blinking.

"Oh, you meant right now. Okay."

He looks a bit like he can't quite believe his luck.

It has to be a trick.

"Well, I mean."

She bites her lip, looking slightly nervous.

"If you're too tired, we can wait. Just thought we might get a feel for things, yeah? Er. So to speak."

This is the man who managed to get it on after being psychotic for nine days.

The initial shock wears off around the word 'So,' and by the time Nymphadora gets to 'speak,' he's kissing her.

'Dora laughs into his mouth, one of her hands slipping up to cup his cheek.

Pulling away slightly, "But slow, okay? I need time to sort out what's feeling okay and what's not, as we go."

Right now, he'd do anything she asked, no matter how bizarre. Going slow is nothing.

He bends his head to tongue up her neck. Slowly. "Last I heard, your neck wasn't sore."

Her eyes slipping closed, Nymphadora lets her head loll back against the cushion, a slow smile spreading over her face.

"Nope. Not a bit sore, actually."

Her long legs tighten around his hips. Just a bit.

Bernard grins and nips at the soft skin over her collarbone carefully, one hand slipping under her jumper. His hips press against hers very lightly.

Near her ear, "All right, Tits?"

A soft, breathy laugh.

"All right, Barman."

Goosebumps break out over her skin as his hand slides over it, and the blush on her cheeks darkens.

His hand slides to her back to trace up her spine lightly, and he lifts his head to kiss her lips, opening her mouth with his slowly. Tasting her.

"God. Just." 'Dora's words are half-muffled against Bernard's mouth, her fingers sliding up the length of his back to tangle in his hair. "You feel so good."

"So do you," he murmurs, deftly unhooking her bra. She pulls his hair just a bit, and his eyes roll back for a second. "Missed you."

A soft grin. "Here, let me--" She moves to tug off his shirt, grasping the hem, her fingers grazing his belly.

Bernard grins back and lifts his arms, letting her pull the shirt off. One button goes flying, bouncing off the mantle with a clack, and he snickers, kissing her again.

She snickers, too, and mouths her way along his collarbone to his shoulder. "Ooops. Remind me to pick that up later, so the dog doesn't eat it."

"Also, you messed up my shirt." Her jumper is creeping up, now, and his mouth is creeping down. "Better brush up on your sewing spells, wench."

'Dora makes a non-commital noise and lifts her arms over her head.

That shirt's seen better days, too.

She's got plans.

Bernard gives her the evil eye before pulling her shirt off.

The bra goes too, since it was unhooked.

Oops.

Suddenly, Bernard's not terribly inclined to give anyone the evil eye.

"...Bernard?"

He's not even blinking. Blimey.

"Golly," he breathes. One hand trails up her side slowly. His fingertips brush one breast almost tentatively. He glances up to look in her eyes, gauge her reaction.

"All right?"

If she's not, he may fall over and die.
