Feb. 23rd, 2006 05:53 pmDear Aziraphael and Crowley,
Bugger me, I just realised I'd not yet owled you to say that Bernard's in the cells. Count Olaf -- you know, Sunny's old guardian -- came into the bar the other night and threatened Sunny, so Bernard broke his nose. Anyway. Olaf's gone for now, but we're keeping our eyes peeled.
Liam says he'll be in a few days, so hopefully he'll be out at the weekend. Otherwise I'm managing all right on my own.
See you this weekend, I hope.
Love from,
'Dora

Date: 2006-02-23 11:09 pm (UTC)I'm all right, really, just bloody tired from pulling the night shifts on my own. What one doesn't think of the other one does, you know how it is.
Besides, it looks as though you've a mess on your hands, there.

Date: 2006-02-23 11:17 pm (UTC)In all honesty? We're closing the windows, sitting tight, and riding this one out. Because we never even lifted a finger, for this one.
(I never know whether to be glad my job's made easy, or depressed because it sometimes seems I'm practically redundant.)
Anyway, as long as you're sure. Let me know if you change your mind; we're pretty much holed up until this dies down anyway. I can be all for adding fuel to the fire, but this particular one's burning quite hot enough without any help from us.

Date: 2006-02-23 11:24 pm (UTC)In that case, watch your step, be safe, and keep on sitting tight. Come home when you can; if Bernard's still in the cells tomorrow night I'll gladly let you help out a bit around the flat. Which will mostly involve holding one child or the other, in all likelihood. Come to think of it, you're welcome to do that even if he's out.
I'll keep you posted and give you a holler if I need you after all.
Love from,

Date: 2006-02-23 11:14 pm (UTC)I'll be there in a moment, if you need me.
This Olaf chap - you catch one glimpse of him and I'll be ready and waiting to smite. Count Olaf, smut - how does that strike you?
Give my love to Bernard, in as manly a fashion as possible in order that he might not break my nose.
The Mug's all right?

Date: 2006-02-23 11:21 pm (UTC)She's fine, yeah, but understandably shaken. Been quiet the past few days. Spending a fair bit of her time in the office sitting with her dad, too.
Honestly, we're doing all right -- there's certainly no rush, though we'll be glad to see you when you get the chance to stop by.
And the smiting of Count Olaf sounds like an excellent plan. Also possibly a good film title.
See you soon,
'Dora
