Dec. 24th, 2004 02:18 pmCrowley's gift is actually two -- both wrapped carefully in silver paper.
The first, larger package contains an immense and incredibly ancient book entitled Parsletongue: A Moste Compleate and Accurate Under Standing Thereofe. A quick perusal will note that the book contains a dictionary, etymological analysis, and several hand-illuminated illustrations. The editor is listed as one S. Slytherin.
The second of the books is much more modern: Dragons, and the Men Who Love Them Too Much.
The note reads:
Dear Crowley,
We saw these and knew they had to be yours. Enjoy them both, you big geek, and report back on your findings.
Happy Christmas!
