It's been a long, long day.

There've been crying jags, squabbles over naptimes, spit-ups, spills, and baths flaily enough to merit an umbrella.

However.

Nymphadora Tonks is a Determined Woman.

And this particular Determined Woman is currently leaning against the open closet door, waiting for her husband to look up.

Nymphadora grins too, lazily.

"All right, Mr. Wrangle?"

He kisses her again, opening her mouth with his slowly.

"...'M I squashing you?"

"Little bit," she mumbles, more intent on kissing him than anything else. "'n a good way."

He grins, then, and kisses down her neck, shifting off her a bit.

"Well."

He starts to pull the covers down.

"That was unexpected."

"Well." She lifts her hips as he pulls down the covers, and reaches down to toss various bits of their clothing onto the floor.

Which will probably drive him nuts.

"Wasn't sure if we'd have time and energy, tonight. Didn't wanna get your hopes up."

"I'm not complaining."

He's really, really not. Thankfully, he pays no notice to the clothes now. He'll bitch in the morning, though.

"Although, if I'd had any idea, I wouldn't have been so focused on my work tonight."

She slides under the covers, shivering just a little.

He curls around her, her own personal hot water bottle, and buries his nose in her neck, hands sliding up her thigh, through her hair.

"Rather be focused on you at any rate."

"You're awfully good at that, too, I've found," she replies solemnly, nuzzling against his cheek.

A snorting laugh. "Not that you're big-headed about it, or anything."

Nipping down her neck, "I am never big-headed about anything."

"...Nor would you ever stretch the truth."

Her fingernails scratch teasingly at his ribs.

He giggles, and writhes to get away.

"I am the most honest man in Christendom."

They're not in Christendom.

"You're full of shite," giggling too and tickling him harder.

"I--" He yelps and grabs one of her hands. "I am never, ever full of shite."

"You are," Nymphadora informs him, reclaiming the use of her hands and pinning him neatly to the bed. "And that's why I love you. We fit, you see."

"No, you arse!" she laughs. "Because I'm full of shite, too! Pay attention."

"You are?" He affects a heartbroken mien.

Its effect is kind of like when comedians try their hand at Shakespeare: profoundly disturbing.

"Did you ever love me?"

She releases his arms and flops down on top of him.

She slides over to her side of the bed again, hiding a wince.
